Description

The Colchester Conservation Area No.1 was first designated in 1968, with amendments in 1978 and 1980. It covers the whole of the historic walled town and includes parts the historic extra-mural settlements immediately outside the walls, including East Hill, Abbey Gate, St John’s Green and St Botolph’s.
