Full Description
Extension to existing buildings - new first floor shops fronting onto Eld Lane. Roman wall located in both plots in a very poor state of repair - the face has been removed. The area had formerly been back gardens, so they had been much cut about during pit digging. The contractors trenches revealed a well, possible wall and spread of lime - date uncertain, may have been medieval. <1>
