Full Description

Throughout July 2003 an archaeological watching brief observed improvement works at the church. A tile floor was discovered during the construction of a disabled access ramp within the tower adacent to the nave, a thick flint and mortar wall was found in the digging of a sewer trench along St Martin's Lane, the footings for the north-east butress of the chancel were found in the disabled access from St Martin's Lane. Nothing of significance was found. <1>
