Full Description

Watching brief during construction of a rear extension. Building work in the beck tard revealed a sizeable section of town wall. Excavation of trenches by the town wall and immediately outside the back door led to the discovery of a quantity of pottery most of which was Medieval or post Medieval. Wall photographed: part of the core survived as an unrobbed section. <1>
