Full Description

A fragment of a red tessellated pavement was found in 1924, lying immediately in front (ie, to the E) of the arbour or summer house on the terrace. It was 6ft 6" from the surface and extended for 7ft eastwards and was underlain by a floor foundation of an earlier building. <1> <2>

A magnetomer and topographic survey was carried out in the grounds of East Hill House. A negative linear anomoly running N-S is possibly a street, revetment, or terrace.<3>
