Full Description

"OS 1:500 map marks tessellated pavement under a shed 290ft W of North Hill and 170ft S of the town wall, without date. Cutts shows this or another one indicating the same shed clearly, but the position of the pavement is more to the W 330ft from North Hill and 170ft S of the town wall. He states that this is the pavement found in the saw-pit in Bowler's Brewery. <1> - <3> NGR above is position given on Hull's map. RCHM notes "tessellated pavement WSW of the former Bowler's Brewery stores W of the N end of North Hill, perhaps the same as (10) (12434). <4>
