Full Description

Construction of a new building - brick cottages demolished. THe latter appeared to be Victorian. There was no evidence of earlier building. A capped brick soakaway (?or well) already backfilled at the back of the plot was probably of the same date. There was a concentration of C17 sherds from the NW corner of the site implying that the soil included the tops of pits. <1>
