Full Description

In 2003, a watching brief carried out on a trench, 1metre by 3 metre's and 1metre in depth, located in the SE corner of the site showed modern sand and gravel hogging overlaying black contaminated soil. It was not possible to see any archaeological features.

In 2004 further observations were carried out on the excavation of external drains on the south edge of the site. They were approximately 0.8 metre's deep. Natural ground was not reached.
