Full Description

Unstratified finds from above Roman pavement A (see 12438) included fragments of coarse thick brown-black hand made pottery. One piece has incised decoration, 2 pieces illustrated in this source are from simple cooking pots. "They seem to be Saxon; Mr Dunning thinks them early C7". <1> <2>
