Full Description
Extension to the Conservative Club. Trenches revealed a N-S wall foundation mainly of mortared septaria and a thick clay loam deposit to the E. The wall and clay appears to be Roman and perhaps mark the W boundary of the temple precinct though the position is 5m W of the line plotted in published plans of the 1960s excavations. <1>
