Full Description

Post-Roman buildings and pits ranged in date from C12 to C19 but only survived at the rear of the site. Site excavated 1952. <1> <3> In 1979 it was found that Victorian terracing had removed medieval occupation on the Wyre Street frontage leaving only the floors and foundations of wings or outhouses at the rear. <1> <2> Finds in Colchester Museum. <3>
