Full Description

"Somewhere between Section V (= 13121) and East Gate lay an interior tower known to Duncan. Its position as shown by Wheeler and Laver is based on Cutt's plan but is anomalous. PG Laver says that it projected 6ft from the wall and was removed in making a path by the wall. The latter `as at present uncovered shows no bonding of this tower'. We agree and think the tower has been wrongly sited. It probably laya little farther south, especially since we are told that it stood on ground of Mr Saville of East Hill". <1>
