Full Description

(Priory) church lies in an extensive Roman cemetary and the possibility that it was built on the site of a Roman cemetary- church is real. Evidence urgently needed here. Roman burials have been found around St. Botolphs on all sides and tessellated floor just to the North (between the Priory and Town Wall) is perhaps more likely to be associated with a cemetary building than a private house. <1>.
