Description
A sewer trench was dug running north-south across the site of the bus-park and to the west of the 1955 excavations (see ECC667). The digging revealed an east to west street, several walls and tessellated pavements. These were recorded by Mr.B.P. Blake. Mr. Blake also recorded seeing 13ft. of a north running, red tessellated pavement in a narrow trench.<1>
