Full Description

A coarse tessellated pavement was observed during the excavation of a sewer trench at the Queen Street Bus Station Site in 1958/9 (ECC1523). The pavement was situated between a robbed-out wall to the north (MCC1701) and another wall to the south (MCC1704).<1> The pavement and walls may have belonged to House II (MCC1681) discovered during the 1955 excavations on the site (see ECC667).
