A Roman walled cemetery dated c.AD100 found during excavations between 1934 and 1940 by AF Hall in the garden of Gurney Benham House. There are both cremationa nd inhumation burials. <1> In the middle of the south side the emplacement for a heavy monument. Other refs. <2> <3>
