Full Description

Building shown as "Hull House" on 1st (1874) and 2nd edition (1897) OS maps and as the "The Glen" on the 3rd (1922) and 4th (1936) editions. Hull house is shown on these later editions as immediately S of the former mill/laundry. No longer extant, site should be investigated prior to proposed re-development here.<1>

Archaeological monioring during the demolition and clearance stages of a mid 19th-century malting and early 20th-century laundry, ahead of a housing development, discovered a culvert associated with an early 19th-century distillery and a wheel pit to a mid 19th-century corn mill.<2>
