Early C19 maltings associated with adjacent gin distillery. Partially demolished.<1>

Building survey carried out in 2002, covered malthouse, kiln, maltstore, lean-to and vehicle shed, prior to submission for a planning application for residential development (following demolition) around the Distillery Pond.<2>

Archaeological monitoring during the demolition and clearance stages of a mid 19th-century malting and early 20th-century laundry, ahead of a housing development, discovered a culvert associated with an early 19th-century distillery and a wheel pit to a mid 19th-century corn mill.<3>
