Monument record: MCC3442 Congregational Church, Lion Walk, Colchester (Monument)Mid 19th century congregational church by Frederick Barnes of Ipswich, erected 1863 and demolished (apart from the 125-foot spire at the north-west corner of the nave) in 1984 (and replaced by the United Reformed Church). The Congregational Church was itself on the site of the Round Meeting House, built in 1766 and demolished in 1862 (to make way for this church).
