Full Description

Tiptree Heath is originally shown on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 2 Map (1897-1904), located to the southwest of the settlement of Tiptree. The heath is an irregularly shaped site, with an area of 23.12ha. There are only a few buildings built along the edge of the heath, which is strange for a site this large. However, one of the buildings is the Grade II listed early C19 Manor House Farmhouse (LB Number: 1266592). The size and shape is the exact same size and shape as it was on the historic map. <1>
