Full Description

Timber-framed and plastered house, with tiles roofs. Believed to date from the late 16th or early 17th century. Central chimney stack has three diagonal shafts. Inside the building are exposed ceiling and tie-beams.<1>

The Hall lies within a well-preserved medieval moat (MCC7237) that may represent the original site of the manor of 'Serdeleshey or Loveney Hall'.<2>

A historic building assessment was carried out by Leigh Alston in 2017 of two late 19th century timber-framed and weather-boarded farm buildings to the north of the Hall.<2>

Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out in 2018 during the groundworks for a new extension but no archaeological remains were encountered.<4>
