Summary

Test Pit 9, one of ten test pits excavated by Access Cambridge Archaeology in West Mersea in 2009, produced a sherd (6g) of Late Bronze Age pottery and a Roman grey ware sherd (6g) as well as medieval and later pottery.

Full Description

Test Pit 9 produced a lot of pottery which covers a long period of time from the Bronze age, through the Roman period after which it may have been abandoned before re-coccupation in the medieval period.<1>
