Full Description

Roman pottery of late 2nd century date and quantities of Roman building material: tile, plaster, mortar, stone and pinkish mortar with crushed tile (opus signinum), several large fragments of stone were recovered, one of which weighed 10kg and had evidence of working on two faces. This material likely to be from an important building or monument. This material found during evaluation at St Peter's House.<1>
