Description

Rescue excavation and recording of a Roman hypocaust and two ditches took place over a single weekend. The remains had been uncovered by workmen during the construction of a pair of subways flanking the southern end of the Maldon Road roundabout. The extent of the remains were recorded and an indication of their dates established.<1>
