Full Description

Watching brief during groundworks on land to the rear of the former Mill Hotel. Evaluation indicated that the former course of the mill race of East Mill was to the east of the present course. The evidence was river-bourne silts and a timber revetment and grille. Other timbers uncovered may have been a building or structure which sttod beside the mill. A substantial amount of modern dumped material was uncovered in the western and northern parts of the evaluated site. <1>
