Full Description

Traces of a building from the Legionary Fortress, obscured by later building. The principal elements consist of pits, gullies and a substantial quantity of dumped sand and sandy clay around the middle of the site with evidence of metalworking nearby. The building is thought to have been only about 6m wide and the only internal features located were stake holes, found mainly in the southern half of the building.<1>
