Full Description

Site L2 revealed a thick scatter of occupation-debris in its central portion, lying directly on the sand, and dug into it, the bedding trenches of a timber construction, the plan of which was more extensive, and suggests a sub-quadrangular enclosure, set NNW-WSW, the maximum preserved dimensions of which were 110 by at least 28 and possibly 80ft.<1>
