Full Description

Site F11 had a square-ish dwelling area floored by a level natural loam 21ft by 17ft; after 1ft of occupation earth had accumulated, a bowl-shaped clay hearth had been made in the middle, an oval 11ft by 8. The structure was represented by one post-hole 18" across and 21" deep, on the W wall line. The pottery was all pre Roman-Late Iron Age and in the layer above the hearth was a gold plated coin of the Brigantes.<1>
