Building record MCC4599 - Normans (Normandy) Hall, Lane Road, Wakes Colne

Summary

Mid C14 timber-framed aisled hall house, with contemporary cross wing, located at the west end of Wakes Colne Green (MCC9129). Hall with cross-passage and upper end cross wing. Wing has end jetty and half-hip with gablet (which is unusual on the front roof of a cross wing). Large panel framing with curved and straight downbraces. The central tie beam was carried massive arcade plates. Crown post roof.
