Wakes Colne Green is shown on the 1777 Chapman & Andre Historic Map and on the Tithe Map of 1838.<1>
Wakes Colne Green is then shown on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 1 Historic Map (1874-1887).
The maps show several groups of buildings on the edge of the green - the Grade II listed C17 Jordon's Farmhouse (LB Number: 1225022), the Grade II listed C16-C17 Sturgeons Farmhouse (LB Number: 1225017), the Grade II Listed Crabbes probably C16 (LB Number: 1225015), the Grade II listed C16 Fishers Farm (LB Number: 1225030), the Grade II listed C17 Old Gables (LB Number: 1225026), the Grade II Listed late Medieval Willow Meade (LB Number: 1225569) and the Grade II* c.1300 Normans Farmhouse (LB Number: 1225019).<2>
