Full Description

A possible glass-making site was discovered during excavations on the Warren Field in 1933 (ECC328) and again in 1969 (ECC943). In 1933 glass waste was found in a shallow pit dug into the fill of Ditch 1B (MCC498) near to Kiln No.15 (MCC607). During investigations in 1969, a heavily burnt floor was discovered.<1>
