Full Description

During excavations at St Mary's Rectory in 1965, a north-south ditch was discovered situated along the eastern edge of a north-south Roman street (MCC2031). The ditch may have been a roadside drainage ditch. It was cut into burnt clay levels which may have been Boudican destruction.<1>
