An east-west Roman wall discovered during excavations by Colchester Archaeological Group at the St Mary's site in 1965 (ECC942). The wall an east-west and its base was evidenced by a thin layer of rubble and mortar. This wall together with other adjacent walls (MCC2034, MCC2035, MCC2037) and a tessellated pavement (MCC2039) were interpreted by the excavator as belonging to a 4th century 'dwelling house'.<1>
