Full Description

Some cremated bone and the flagon sherds were on the spoil heap, and some (50-60% of the bone) still in section in a dark / black sandy loam matrix in the trench side. The flagon top was approximately 30cm below modern ground level, and the bones were down to 50cm below modern ground. It was very clear that the cremated bone was not in the pot, nor were there any nails or signs of other vessels.<1>
