Full Description
A Roman wall foundation at Sheepen. The foundation was constructed of broken tile on mortar covering an area 4ft. 6in. long and 1ft. 3in. wide. It was surrounded by a low kerb of stone and tile on the south, east and west sides. The foundation was set within a trench which had been cut partly into the demolition rubble of an adjacent building (MCC1443).<1>
