Full Description

A number of Roman (and possible Roman) ditches were defined in Site F, as well as the three enclosures (MCC10084): FF006, FF007, FF062 = FF065, FF074 = FF079, FF075. FF007, aligned E to W, cut E3; it also cut ditch FF074. FF006, aligned NW to SE, cut ditch FF007. FF074 and FF079, aligned NE to SW, post-dated E3. FF065, aligned N to S, also cut E3. FF007 was intercepted in Site G (as GF1; MCC10087). The report (p.72) suggests, 'the changing sequence of ditches indicates a developing agricultural landscape in the Roman period'.<1>
