Description

Excavation of trenches in the rear garden of No. 9 North Hill by the owner Mr. A.W. Frost. The main trench revealed a hard gravelled surface of a street and 22ft further east, a tessellated pavement and foundations running N-S.<1> A pencil sketch in Hull's notes shows another trench containing a red tessellated pavement.<2> See also ECC183.
