Description
Between 1960 and 1965, several trenches were sunk in the garden of 'Somerford'. Two main trenches revealed a curved gully or rubbish pit. Dating evidence suggested occupation immediately before and after the Boudican destruction horizon. A thin burnt layer at 53-55cm from the surface provided evidence for Boudican destruction.<1>
