Description

Following the discovery of a tessellated pavement by workmen in the garden of a house on North Hill, excavations were undertaken by the Essex Archaeological Society under the direction of Mr. J. Parish. The excavation revealed the partial ground plan of a Roman building which included two mosaics.<1><2>
