Description

The excavation of a Bronze Age barrow, East Mersea, was carried out by D.J. Pryor, Miss F.D. De'Ath and Mr J.B. Bennett in 1963-4. The excavation was on private land near to Cudmore Grove (north-east of Broman's Farm). The remains of the barrow were defined as a cropmark by the farmer, Mr B. Spence.<1>
