Description

A watching brief was maintained during the redevelopment of No's 7-15 Long Wyre Street. The watching brief was preceded by an archaeological excavation (see ECC373). During the watching brief, discoveries included remains of Roman buildings, gravel from a Roman road, post-medieval pits and a medieval rubble lined well and rectangular cess pit. <1>
