GREAT AND LITTLE COPT HALL LANE 1. 5214 WIGBOROUGH Little Wigborough Church of St Nicholas TL 91 SE 22/6 7.4.65 II* 2. C15 in rough coursed rubble with limestone dressings, and red plain tile roof. Late C15 nave, with original north doorway with moulded jambs, 2 centred arch and label with angel stops. North and south windows are late C19. South doorway has moulded jambs, 2 centred arch and label, formerly there was a south porch, now demolished, C15 chancel with east window of 3 cinquefoiled lights with vertical tracery in a 2 centred head, with moulded label and angel stops. North and south walls have extensively restored windows of 2 cinquefoiled lights in square heads. In south wall there is also a doorway with hollow chamfered jambs, 4 centred arch with modern head. Three stage west tower, base of C15 and C19 rebuild above. Tower arch is 2 centred, with hollow chamfers. C16 nave roof, with side purlins. Iron font cover support of 1888 by Joseph Clarke. (RCHM 1).
