Monument record: MCC7323 Site of St Mary's Church, Layer Breton (Monument)Site of St Mary's Church, Layer Breton, demlished in 1915. There was a church on this site, opposite Layer Breton Hall, by 1329. In 1768 Morant described it as, "of one piece with the chancel, both tiled. In a wooden turret there is one bell".
