Monument record: MCC3140 Wormingford Green (Monument)A small, square-shaped green is marked on Chapman and Andre's 1777 map, c.1.5 ha in area, located opposite the location of Jenkins Farm (marked but not labelled on this map). <1> The Farm fronts the east side of the green. The green is not marked on the OS 1:2500 County Series Epoch 1. The approximate position of the green has been digitised as a Monument, from Chapman and Andre's 1777 map. The road between Wormingford Green and Piots Green, to the NW (towards Mount Bures), shown on Chapman and Andre's 1777 map and County Series Epoch 1, was removed by the construction of the later WWI and WWII airfield (MEX1031271).
