Areas C1, C2, E, J1, O, Q and S1 of the Alienated Land at Colchester Garrison were excavated: C1 – short section of a large Roman circus. C2 – large late Roman cemetery. E – field boundary ditches and a Roman enclosure. J1 – large Roman cemetery, large Roman circus. O – single Roman field boundary ditch Q – Late Iron Age/Roman field boundary ditches Some Roman pottery and building materials were found.
