Full Description

In August 1936 a water main was cut along Culver Street from Head Street, against the sets paving the south gutter. A Roman drain was found in this same trench opposite the door of Messrs Benham's printing works, only the top of the arch was exposed at a depth of 5ft 6in, running North -South, apparently on the west side of the N-S street.<1>
