Summary
Several patches of compacted gravel (L4, at least 50mm thick) , interpreted as part of a gravel surface within the temple precinct. The surface was defined during a watching brief of seven narrow drainage and electricity trenches (450mm wide x 600mm deep) with three manholes to link the new science and food technology building (immediately to the north) to existing infrastructure.
These intermittent gravel patches were also recorded during the 2014 excavation of the new science and food technology building (CAT Report 825), where they were identified as part a gravel surface within the temple precinct.
