Full Description
Flories Farm is a historic farmstead located to the west of the settlement of Great Tey. It is first shown on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map to be a large interlinked site, forming a multiyard on an E-pattern of buildings. Over 50% of the buildings survive, including two listed buildings. These are the Grade II listed C19 Flories Farmhouse (LB Number: 1223373) and the Grade II listed c.1800 barn to the southwest of Flories Farm (LB Number: 1223374). The other buildings were demolished between 1923 and 1972. There have been some modern buildings and extensions to the original buildings, including a large extension to the farmhouse. The site has undergone a change of use from agricultural to residential and light industry. There is the remains of a moat surrounding the site, which was first shown on the Epoch 2 map. <1>
