Full Description

Red hill. Briquetage and Iron Age pottery recovered from surface but excavation failed to find any artefacts.<1><2><3>

Note that Tim Dennis and members of Colchester Archaeoloigcal Group undertook a small magnetometer survey over this red hill (following sowing, as the field is under arable) in September 2020. Jim Pullen undertook a drone survey of the same site. A few pieces of briquetage and slag-type (vitirified) material was picked up during the survey.
