Full Description

Soilmark of a red hill, recorded by aerial photography (TM 0075013830).<1><2><3> There is another possible red hill c.280m to the SW (TM 0051913658). The soilmarks are clearly defined on a Google Earth aerial photograph of 6/11/2006. There are also various other possible archaeological (linear?) features and dark earth to the south, on rising ground away from the Strood Channel.

This is the same soil/cropmark complex as MCC6936 to the south and MCC8724 to the east.

Following deep ploughing in September 2020, a quantity of archaeological material was recovered from the area.
